CEBU CITY – A bank supervisor and an account officer were arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl in Carcar City, Cebu before dawn on Friday, March 1.
The suspects aged 28 and 24 were arrested in a hot-pursuit operation by the police early Friday morning.
Carcar police chief Police Lt. Col. Bryan O’Neil Salvacion said the suspects were arrested after the victim and her boyfriend complained to the police.
The victim told the police that she was raped around 2 a.m. at the back of the bank where the suspects are working.
Police said the victim’s boyfriend also works in the bank.
The victim said that she was waiting for her boyfriend when the suspects arrived and dragged her to a dark area and raped. The victim added that the suspects were drunk at the time.
She added that the suspects took her cell phone and covered her mouth to prevent her from shouting.
Police said that the employees were still in the bank during the wee hours as they had an event during that day.
On their way home, the girl informed her boyfriend that she was raped. They reported the incident to lawmen who arrested the suspects.
