Armscor's Marikina compound fire causes P14-M damage - BFP
A total of P14 million worth of damages was recorded in a fire that hit the warehouse of one of the country's leading firearms and ammunition manufacturers on Thursday, February 29, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

According to the BFP, the blaze occurred at the Armscor Global Defense Inc. compound (Gun Powder Room A, B, C, D, and E) located at #2 Armscor Avenue, Barangay Fortune, Marikina City at around 4 p.m. in the afternoon.
The inferno reached the second alarm at 4:04 p.m. and was declared fire out at 5:20 p.m.
Firefighters said four individuals were hurt after sustaining burns and cuts from the incident and five houses and establishments were also damaged.
Arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire.
