5 wanted persons nabbed in Caraga

CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police arrested five wanted persons in the Caraga region on Wednesday, February 28.

The Police Regional Office-13 said the suspects were nabbed in Tagana-an, Surigao del Norte for estafa; in Barangay Mat-i, Surigao City for violence against women and children; in Barangay Poblacion, Trento, Agusan del Sur for violation of Republic Act No. 8282 or the Social Security Law, and two in Bislig City and this city for violating local ordinances.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft said suspects were apprehended on warrants of arrest issued by courts in the region.

“May these successful police operations serve as a stern warning against those sought by the law that they have no place to hide,” he said.

“Caraga police remain aggressive in the campaign against all wanted persons to bring justice to their victims and make our region a safe place against violators of the law.”
