Senior gunned down in Pangasinan

UMINGAN, Pangasinan – A 62-year-old widow was shot dead in Barangay Evangelista here on Thursday afternoon, February 8.

Police identified the victim as Teresita Jardiel Abesanes.

Investigation said the victim was near her residence when two men onboard a motorcycle arrived. One of them drew a gun and shot the victim.

The suspects fled and the victim was taken to a hospital here where she was declared dead from bullet wounds.

Police found six fired cartridge cases for caliber .45 and one deformed slug in the crime scene.
