Police net P11-M shabu in Cebu

CEBU CITY – Police seized suspected shabu worth more than P11 million in buy-bust operations in Metro Cebu before dawn on Friday, February 9.

First to fall was a certain Mitch, 32, who was arrested in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City with 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000.

Police said Mitch is a high-value individual (HVI) in the list of drug personalities operating in the city.

Hours later, another HVI, Rogelio Gabuya, 56, was arrested in Barangay Maguikay, Mandaue. One kilo of shabu worth P6.9 million was seized from the suspect.

In Barangay Tangkey, Talisay City, P4 million worth of shabu was recovered from Egie Relampagos and Randy Daan.

Suspects also yielded a 9mm caliber pistol, police said.
