P714,000 shabu seized in Cagayan

PEÃ‘ABLANCA, Cagayan â€“ Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in a buy-bust operation here on Friday, February 9.

SUSPECTED shabu worth P714,000 was seized by police in Cagayan on Friday.

Police identified the suspects as alias Liza, 32, and Marie, 35, residents of Tandang Sora, Quezon City.

Seized from the suspects, considered by the police as high-value individuals in the illegal drugs trade, was P714,000 worth of suspected shabu, the buy-bust money, three android phones, and two bags.

Police Brig. Gen. Christopher Birung, Police Regional Office-2 chief, said suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Birung assured the people that there is no let-up in the campaign against illegal drugs in Cagayan Valley.
