A Chinese national facing three counts of attempted homicide and robbery was arrested by a combined team of the Pasay City police Investigation and Detective Management Section (IDMS) and Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) early Friday morning, Feb. 9.
According to the Southern Police District (SPD), the suspect, identified as alias “Ching,” 25, was arrested at around 1:30 a.m. along Macapagal Avenue, Barangay 76 Zone 10, Pasay City.
Pasay City Police Chief Col. Mario Mayames said Ching was placed as the top six most wanted person for three counts of attempted homicide and robbery.
Mayames said the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Janello A. Covarrubias, of Pasay City Municipal Trial Court (MTC) Branch 47 for three counts of attempted homicide on October 13, 2023 with a recommended bail of P72,000.
He said another warrant issued by Judge Elenita C. Dimaguila of Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 298 was issued against the suspect on July 6, 2023 for robbery by use of force with a recommended bail of P72,000.
The city police chief said the suspect was immediately detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest.
