Charismatic, intelligent, and confident—these are just some of the many traits that make people born in the Year of the Dragon unique. Unlike other animals in the Chinese zodiac, the Dragon stands out as the only mythical creature.

In Chinese culture, it is seen as a symbol of power and good fortune. Many believe that some of its magic is rubbed on the people born in the year when the Dragon is celebrated. These individuals are passionate, born leaders, and admired for their humility.

As we celebrate the Year of the Wood Dragon in 2024, we are listing down Filipino creatives and personalities under the majestic zodiac sign that reflects the mighty Dragon’s characteristics.

Rosenthal Tee (April 23, 1988)

With her knack for ultra-feminine designs and enchanting embellishments, Rosenthal Tee is one of the go-to designers of Manila’s most stylish ladies. A graduate of the prestigious fashion school Instituto Marangoni in London, she was able to showcase her collections abroad and moonlights as a faculty member of the SoFA Design Institute.

Santino Rosales (Dec. 11, 2000)

Son of famous heartthrob Jericho Rosales, Santino Rosales is making a name in the fashion industry. He is a member of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines, which led him to walk numerous runway shows and grace the pages of magazines and campaigns. He is also a skilled football player and the entrepreneur behind Kaisaint restaurant.

Camille Co-Koro (April 21, 1988)

Camille Co-Koro is one of the Philippines’ OG fashion influencers. Through her chic personal style and creative content, she was able to collaborate with many brands here and abroad. She is best known for attending international fashion weeks, being part of many Most Stylish and Best Dressed lists, and as a dedicated mother and wife.

June Digan (June 25, 1988)

As an artist, designer, and illustrator, June Digan’s power lies in her ability to create whimsical worlds on her canvas, whether physical or digital. With her creative prowess, June was able to showcase her works in various exhibits, become a member of the Jury for ADC Young Guns 18 and the New York Festival’s Bowery Awards, and work with big brands and institutions such as Hewlett-Packard, Toblerone Asia, and the Embassy of the Philippines Berlin.

Gwy Saludes (Nov. 8, 2000)

At the age of 12, Gwy Saludes started her passion for writing. Despite not having formal training, she became one of today’s rising authors, with some of her works reaching more than a million views on social storytelling platform Wattpad. Her literary works, such as “Safe Skies, Archer” and “The Rain in Espana,” have been adapted into drama series.

Venus Raj (July 7, 1988)

Venus Raj is the Philippines’ representative for the Miss Universe 2010 competition. She got the 4th runner-up place during the international competition. Today, the beauty queen works to help those in need through various advocacy works. She goes to different schools to give motivational talks to students and visits places for community development projects. She also launched her podcast channel, discussing marriage, relationships, and more.
