PDEA nets P379,000 shabu in Ormoc City

TACLOBAN CITY â€“ The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-8 (Eastern Visayas) arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized shabu valued at P379,000 in a buy-bust operation in Ormoc City, Leyte on Wednesday, February 7.

The suspect was identified as Renee Parilla, alias Lollipop, 47, of Barangay Bagong Buhay, Ormoc.

Parilla was nabbed after he sold shabu worth P500 to a PDEA poseur-buyer.

Seized from the suspect were two big sachets and three small sachets containing 55 grams of suspected shabu.

Parilla admitted owning and selling illegal drugs for years.

Barangay officials said Parilla went on with his activities despite several warnings.

Parilla is under police custody and faces drug-related cases.
