“The observance of Isra Wal Mi'raj serves as a reminder of the utmost importance of attaining peace in our lives, a goal we must tirelessly strive for. As we commemorate this special occasion with our loved ones, let us offer our night prayers, seeking happiness and tranquility,” she said in a statement.
“The journey of Prophet Muhammad serves as a powerful reminder that despite the diversity in our lives, our faith and dedication unite us,” she added.
The official said that the journey provides an “invaluable lesson on the virtues of humility and trust” as these are “timeless” and “relevant” in the present time.
“Our unwavering belief in the one God, Allah, and His divine message serves as the ultimate bond that unifies us,” she furthered.
“To all our Muslim brothers and sisters, let us seize this opportunity to pray for those who seek blessings from Allah, hoping for a life filled with divine grace. May this auspicious day bring forth peace and prosperity for all.”
According to the Islam faith, the Isra Wal Mi'raj is the night that the Prophet Muhammad embarked on the famous journey from Makkah to Masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem before ascending to heaven, all in one night.
Isra is the night journey from Makkah to Masjid Al-Aqsa, while Mi'raj is the journey from Masjid Al-Aqsa to the heavens.
The night journey was a time of hardship and grief for the Prophet after the deaths of his family members and supporters. It was in this journey that the Prophet was believed to have been given the five prescribed daily prayers that are still being practiced today.
