Caregiver hit and killed by bus

ALAMINOS CITY, Pangasinan – A 32-year-old caregiver died after he was run over by a provincial bus in Barangay Tanaytay, this city, Wednesday, Feb 7.

Police said the victim, Francis Jayson de Guzman Bautista, 32, stopped on the middle of the road to fix his tricycle which encountered mechanical trouble.

The bus driven by Rolando Miranda Marzo, 41, accidentally bumped the victim’s tricycle.

Bautista was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Marzo was also taken to the hospital for medical examination and to the Alaminos City police station for documentation and proper disposition.

The bus is under the custody of the police station. Both vehicles involved incurred damages.
