A total of 95 couples joined the “Kasalang Bayan” (mass wedding) conducted by the Parañaque city government.
The event is the city government's gift to couples who have been living together without matrimonial blessing.
Parañaque City Mayo Eric Olivarez said the mass wedding held at the Parañaque City Sports Complex on Thursday, Feb. 8, is one of the programs they prepared in celebration of the 26th cityhood anniversary.
Out of the 95 couples who exchanged “I Dos” during the mass wedding, 50 came from District I and 45 from District II.
Congressman Edwin Olivarez who also attended the activity reminded the couples that there is no perfect marriage but they must talk, understand and respect each other in case a problem occurs.
He also told the couples that God should be the center of their love.
Mayor Olivarez who officiated the mass wedding advised the couples to remain faithful to each other to keep their marriage strong.
