P4-M shabu, marijuana seized in Cordillera

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet â€“ Police seized suspected shabu and marijuana worth P4 million and arrested nine drug pushers in a week-long operation from January 29 to February 4.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera said marijuana eradication operations conducted in the provinces of Benguet and Kalinga resulted in the discovery of 4,300 fully grown marijuana plants and 25,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P3,864,000. Operatives burned these on-site.

Lawmen confiscated 9.08 grams of shabu worth P61,744 and arrested of nine suspected drug pushers in Baguio City, Benguet, and Kalinga. Four suspects were arrested in buy-bust operations, three in a police checkpoint, and one in the implementation of a warrant of arrest.

Suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
