Police nab knife-wielding man in Quiapo

Police arrested a 27-year-old man after brandishing a knife and creating trouble in Quiapo, Manila on Tuesday night, Feb. 6.

The MPD identified the suspect as Are-Jay Delgado, a resident of Barangay 598, Sta. Mesa, Manila.

He was arrested after a concerned citizen called the Manila Police District Barbosa Police Station (PS-14) informing the officers that a man armed with a knife was creating trouble along Nepomuceno Street, scaring bystanders at around 6:30 p.m.

The responding officers immediately arrested the suspect and confiscated his knife.

The suspect is now detained at MPD PS-14 and will be charged with alarm and scandal, and illegal possession of a bladed weapon.
