Korean rom-com 'Wedding Impossible' with Jun Jong-seo, Moon Sang-min coming to Prime Video

The Korean romantic comedy series “Wedding Impossible,” starring actress Jung Jong-seo and actor Moon Sang-min, will be coming exclusively to Prime Video.

Prime Video announced on Feb. 7 that “Wedding Impossible,” from tvN and Amazon, will be available Prime Video in the Philippines starting Monday, Feb. 26. Episodes will be released weekly every Monday and Tuesday.

“Wedding Impossible” tells the story of an unrenowned actress who is about to enter a fake marriage with her friend, but is met with fierce opposition from her soon-to-be brother-in-law.

Jun Jong-seo, known for her roles in the 2023 Cannes International Series Festival winner “Bargain,” 2018 Cannes Film Festival winner “Burning,” and “Nothing Serious,” portrays little-known actress Na A-jung who agrees to act out a fake marriage with her best friend Lee Do-han (Kim Do-wan).

Lee Do-han has no ambitions and could care less about being a chaebol heir, but finds himself in a situation where he needs a fraudulent marriage.

On the other hand, his younger brother Lee Ji-han (Moon Sang-min) is full of ambition and has been working diligently to make his brother the successor of the family’s conglomerate.

The marriage thwarts Ji-han’s plans for his older brother, and he is desperate to prevent the wedding by all means possible. It’s a battle between A-jung, whose mission is to get married while acting out the role of a lifetime, and Ji-han, who wants to prevent their marriage at all costs.

Moon Sang-min won Best New Actor for “Under the Queen's Umbrella” at the 2023 Baeksang Arts Awards and APAN Star Awards. He went to the Philippines last December and attended the 2023 Asia Artist Awards (AAA) where he won Rookie of the Year.

“Wedding Impossible” is directed by Kwon Young-il of “Doom at Your Service” and “My Unfamiliar Family.”

“Wedding Impossible” joins thousands of other shows and films available on the Prime Video catalog, such as Linlang, In My Mother's Skin, Takeshi’s Castle, Simula sa Gitna, Comedy Island Philippines, Rookie, Ten Little Mistresses, Cattleya Killer, and Fit Check: Confessions of an Ukay Queen. Korean titles such as My Man is Cupid, BTS: Yet to Come, The Kidnapping Day, The Killing Vote, HeartBeat, Lies Hidden in My Garden, Tale of The Nine Tailed 1938, and Jinny’s Kitchen, anime hits such as Rurouni Kenshin, on top of award-winning and critically acclaimed Amazon Originals like Gen V, Citadel, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, The Boys, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, and Emmy and Golden Globe winners Fleabag and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Prime Video members are able to watch films and shows anywhere and anytime on hundreds of compatible devices.

In the Prime Video app, members can also download episodes on their mobile devices and tablets and watch anywhere offline at no additional cost. Prime Video is available in the Philippines for just P149 per month.
