DPWH closes Yuseco bridge for 4-month rehabilitation

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced on Tuesday, Feb. 6, that Yuseco Bridge at Yuseco Street, Manila will be closed to motorists for more than four months starting Feb. 8 for rehabilitation.

The DPWH-North Manila District Engineering Office said that it will conduct a major rehabilitation of the bridge. The repair works will cover the bridge's total length of 52 meters, including the approach. 

The full closure of Yuseco Bridge will be implemented to ensure public safety and avoid inconvenience to motorists. 

“This will also assure that the rehabilitation will be unhampered, and a proper rehab process will be done on the bridge’s abutment and slab,” it added.

DPWH expects the repair to be completed within 145 calendar days, or four months and three weeks. 

Meanwhile, it advised motorists to take Batangas Street as an alternate route while the rehabilitation of the bridge is ongoing.
