That's my eBOSS: ARTA lauds Mandaluyong's digitalized transactions
The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) on Monday, Feb. 5, recognized the Mandaluyong city government's Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS) for its outstanding performance in streamlining and digitalization of the city government's processes and transactions.

Mandaluyong City Mayor Ben Abalos and Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos personally received the commendation from ARTA Director General Secretary Ernesto Perez at the City Hall.
"Sa ipinatutupad na eBOSS ay maaari nang kumuha ng business permit sa loob ng isang oras. Ayon kay Perez, ang eBOSS system ay isang end-to-end process na online na ginagawa ang pag-apply ng business permit, ang pagpasa ng requirements para dito, ang pagbayad ng fees, hanggang sa pag-print ng aktwal na business permit (With the implementation of eBOSS, citizens may now obtain business permits within an hour. Perez explained the eBOSS is an end-to-end online process made for the application of business permits, submission of its requirements, payment of fees, and the printing of the actual business permit)," Mayor Ben said.
Abalos thanked Perez and the agency for the recognition and promised the digitalization of the other processes of the local government.
"Hinikayat naman ni Perez ang mga ibang pamahalaang lungsod na tularan ang Mandaluyong at magpatupad din ng sarili nilang eBOSS system dahil makatutulong ito sa pagtaas ng narerehistrong negosyo at nakokolektang buwis (Perez urged other city governments to follow the steps of Mandaluyong and establish their own eBOSS system that may help in the registration of businesses and collection of taxes)," the mayor added.
“The best way to fight red tape and corruption is to streamline and digitalize government processes and we are witnessing that in the City of Mandaluyong under the able leadership of Mayor Abalos," Perez said.
In December of last year, Mandaluyong received its 7th Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) for the year 2023 spearheaded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
"The award is another laurel for Mandaluyong which marked it's 7th consecutive SGLG since the city's impressive streak began in 2015. It also serves as a reaffirmation of the city's dedication to elevating local governance," the city government said.
Under the SGLG program, Abalos explained that the LGUs must pass the following governance areas: financial administration and sustainability; disaster preparedness; social protection and sensitivity; health compliance and responsiveness; sustainable education; business-friendliness and competitiveness; safety, peace and order; environmental management; tourism, heritage development, culture and arts and youth development.
In addition to getting this year’s SGLG marker, the LGU awardees are also eligible for the SGLG Incentive Fund to finance their local development initiatives in support of national goals and strategic thrusts.
