The RP Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) has awarded Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez as Outstanding Public Servant for his exceptional performance in 2023.
The awarding was made on Monday, Feb. 5 after the regular flag-raising ceremony held at the Parañaque City Hall quadrangle.
Olivarez received a letter from Dr. Paul Martinez, Global Affairs Analyst and RPMD executive director on Feb. 4 congratulating him for notably earning the higher rank among other mayors in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Martinez's letter to Olivarez stated that the mayor’s journey from congressman to city executive reflects his unwavering commitment to excellence and stability to meet community needs effectively.
The mayor received the award for his transformative approach to urban governance with focus on improving the lives of city resident.
Olivarez got a 90 percent job performance rating during the “Boses ng Bayan” survey conducted by the RPMD from Dec. 27 to Jan. 5.
He shared the number one spot with Mayor Joy Belmonte of Quezon City, Mayor Jeannie Sandoval of Malabon City; Mayor John Ray Tiangco of Navotas City, and Mayor Along Malapitan of Caloocan City.
The mayor thanked RPMD for the award and vowed to continue to work harder to better serve city residents.
Olivarez said his administration plans to implement more programs and projects to uplift the lives of its residents.
