Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto personally welcomed the interns on Monday, Feb. 5, during their orientation spearheaded by the Pasig City Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

The 200 interns of this batch will be deployed to the different offices of the Pasig city government starting Feb. 5, 2024 to May 13, 2024. The GIP aims to give out-of-school youths aged 18-30-years-old the chance to experience providing public services to Pasigueños. This also helps them benefit from the program (Each beneficiary will receive allowance for their three-month deployment)," the city government said.

"Bukod pa sa mga ito, nagbubukas din ng oportunidad ang programa para matutunan ang mga proseso at programa sa Lungsod ng Pasig at may posibilidad na ma-absorb o makapag-apply sa job opportunities (kung may bukas na posisyon) sa mga tanggapan sa City Hall kung qualified at nagpakita ng magandang performance sa durasyon ng kanilang deployment sa mga opisina (Aside from this, the GIP gives opportunity to beneficiaries to learn the processes and programs of the Pasig city government where they can possibly be absorbed or apply for the job opportunities if there will be vacancies at the City Hall)," it added.

Those who have finished senior high school courses (under the new curriculum), went to college (including those who graduated and those who did not finish their degree), completed a two-year technical vocation course, or is a National Certificate (NC) Level II holder are qualified to apply for the GIP.
