LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Police seized almost half a kilo of suspected shabu worth P2.8 million from a minor drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Santo Domingo, Albay on Monday night, February 5.
Police Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib said the suspect, a resident here, was arrested by the Office of the Regional Director for Operations-Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 5 (ODRDO-RPDEU 5), Santo Domingo Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bicol.
Lawmen also seized a cellphone and knife from the suspect.
Calubaquib said the suspect is in the custody of the PNP for further investigation and will be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
She said the Police Regional Office-5 campaign against illegal drugs continues without let-up.
Calubaquib urged the people to be vigilant against illegal drugs and that the Philippine National Police program Kabataan Kontra sa Iligal na Droga at Terorismo is at the forefront of the campaign.
