Korean actor Lee Seung-gi, actress Lee Da-in welcome first baby 


Korean actor Lee Seung-gi, 37, and actress Lee Da-in, 31, welcomed their first baby, 10 months after getting married. 

Lee Da-in gave birth to a daughter on Feb. 5.  Lee Seung-gi’s agency, Human Made, confirmed the news on the same day.  

Lee Seung-gi, through his agency, said, "I am grateful and happy that this precious life was born safely."

Lee Da-in is the daughter of Korean actress Kyeon Mi-ri, known for her portrayal of the villain Lady Choi in the hit drama “Jewel in the Palace.”

Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in got married in a star-studded ceremony on April 7 last year at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas grand ballroom in Gangnam, Seoul. 

During the ceremony, Lee Seung-gi serenaded Lee Da-in with his song “Will You Marry Me?”

Stars who attended the wedding included Cha Eun-woo, Seventeen’s Joshua and Hoshi, Kang Ho-dong, Lee Se-young, Han Hyo-joo, Yoo Yeon-seok, Kim Nam-gil, Lee Soon-jae, Lee Jung-seop, Kim Yong-gun, Kim Soo-mi, Park Jeong-soo, Son Jun-ho, Super Junior's Kyuhyun and Eunhyuk, Yook Sung-jae, In Soon-i and Lee Hong-gi.  

Lee Seung-gi announced his wedding on Feb. 7 last year on Instagram, writing, "I'll be spending the rest of my life with my love Lee Da-in as a 'married couple'. I proposed to her, and she said yes. We'll be holding our wedding ceremony on April 7. Now that I have someone to be responsible for, I thought I should personally deliver the news to you,"  according to SBS News. 

Last Nov. 1, the agencies of the two stars said they were expecting their first baby. 

“Currently, actor Lee Da-in is preparing to welcome the blessing that will come in February next year, prioritizing health and stability,” said 9-Ato Entertainment, her agency. 

Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in revealed their relationship in May 2021. Lee Seung-gi is known for the dramas “Mouse,” “Vagabond” and “Gu Family Book.” 

He held his “Asia Tour Concert: The Dreamers Dream Chapter 2” in Manila in May last year.
