Another rainy day: PAGASA warns of flash floods, landslides over Mindanao's flood-weary regions
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday, Feb. 6 warned of possible flash floods or landslides over parts of Mindanao due to occasional moderate to heavy rains.

In PAGASA's 4 a.m. live broadcast, weather specialist Rhea Torres said they have not monitored any low pressure area (LPA) that may affect the country.
However, there were cloud clusters that may bring rain showers to parts of Mindanao, she added.
"Although wala pong binabantayan na low pressure area, may naobserbahan tayong mga cloud clusters sa kasalukuyan sa may silangan at timog na bahagi ng Mindanao (Although there is no low pressure area being monitored, there were cloud clusters being observed currently in the east and south portion of Mindanao)," Torres said.
“Asahan natin posible itong magdala ng mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan, pagkidlat, at pagkulog sa bahagi ng Caraga, Davao Region, pati na rin sa SOCCSKSARGEN [South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, General Santos] (Expect that it may bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Caraga, Davao Region, and also to SOCCSKSARGEN),” she added.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, or the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, and localized thunderstorms.
It also warned the public to be wary of flash floods or landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms.
