2 Cavite robbery suspects caught selling stolen gadgets in Taguig mall
Two men who were arrested in a mall in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig for trying to sell stolen gadgets are being linked by the police to more serious crimes, including robbery and serious illegal detention.
The suspects, identified by their aliases Kent and Mark, were nabbed by Taguig police on Feb. 4.

According to the police, the arrest resulted in the recovery of the stolen items but unraveled a complex case involving robbery, serious illegal detention, and carnapping that happened on Feb. 3 in Panapaan 6, Bacoor City, Cavite.
The five victims with aliases Abe, Jed, Jimi, John and Jumar suffered an ordeal in the hands of seven suspects.
Armed with duct tape, the suspects forcibly entered the victims' residence, restrained them and fled with assorted gadgets including laptops valued at P400,000. The suspects also took a white Honda Accord sedan and a hostage who was later left in Tanay, Rizal, police reported.
The two suspects are now detained at the Taguig Police Station. Additional cases for robbery, serious illegal detention, and carnapping are being prepared against them.
Further investigation is being done together with the Cavite Provincial Forensic Unit.
