3 Nueva Ecija LGU employees nabbed for stealing gas

TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija – Three local government unit employees were apprehended for allegedly stealing gasoline on Sunday, February 4.

Police Col. Richard V. Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, said local police nabbed the suspects at the Atlanta Fuel Gas Station in Barangay Sampaloc.

Lawmen said the suspects falsified a purchase order (PO) to steal diesel intended for their municipal service vehicle.

Seized from them were 360 liters of diesel worth P20,534.40 stored in containers.

The suspects resisted arrest but policemen subdued them.

Meanwhile, the Bongabon and Cabanatuan City police arrested two men for allegedly stealing cash, jewelry, and adult nutrition supplement on Sunday.

The suspects were a 23-year-old resident of Barangay Vega, Bongabon, and an 18-year-old man from Montalban, Rizal.

Suspects face appropriate charges.
