2 men, 3 minors nabbed for motorcycle theft; firearms, grenade seized in Taguig
The Taguig Police arrested two men and three minors after they took a motorcycle from a pool attendant and his pregnant wife in Taguig on Feb. 4.
The theft incident happened on C6 Road Lakeshore in Barangay Lower Bicutan. The suspects, armed with firearms, took the pool attendant’s motorcycle.

The victim called his sister who went to the scene and saw the suspects aboard the stolen motorcycle. She called personnel from Barangay Bambang, who reported the incident to the Taguig Police’s Substation 4.
The Taguig Police’s personnel from Substations 4 and 10, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), and Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit (TMRU) were deployed for the follow-up operation, using CCTV footage to track down the suspects.
According to the police, the stolen motorcycle was discovered inside Wesly Poultry Supply in Barangay Bambang, where the suspects had taken refuge.
After a standoff, responding police officers apprehended the suspects, leading to the recovery of the stolen motorcycle.
The arrested suspects were identified by their aliases Dan, 23, and Gelo, 20; and three children in conflict with the law (CICL).
The police confiscated firearms and a grenade when they apprehended the suspects. These were a 9mm Glock 17 Gen 4 firearm with an erased serial number, a 9mm Glock 26 Gen 5 firearm with serial number AEFRO83, a hand grenade, a 30-round Glock magazine, two 10-round Glock magazines, a black belt bag, 10 pieces 9mm live ammunition rounds, and 12 pieces 9mm live ammunition rounds.
The police said the seized items provide crucial evidence for the ongoing investigation into the suspects' involvement in multiple criminal activities.
Complaints will be filed against the suspects for violating Republic Act 10883 (The New Anti-Carnapping Law), Republic Act 10591 (illegal possession of firearms and ammunition), and Republic Act 9516 (illegal possession of explosives).
Southern Police District (SPD) Director Brig. Gen. Mark Pespes commended the Taguig Police, saying, “The recovery of stolen property and the confiscation of crucial evidence are significant milestones in our commitment to ensure the security of our community. We will continue to work tirelessly to bring justice to the victims and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.”
