The country's premiere air transport firm Philippine Airlines was rated among the most punctual airlines in the Asia Pacific region last year, according to data from aviation analytics platform Cirium.
Based on Cirium's On-Time Performance Report, PAL clinched the eight spot in the Top Airline Performers for the Asia Pacific region category. It was notably the only Philippine carrier in the top ranks.

For the whole year, PAL's on-time arrival performance was 77.46 percent, accounting for 106,720 of its recorded flights around the globe, and a completion rate of 97.20 percent.
With 83.08 percent of PAL's flights arriving on schedule, the airline ranked as the second most punctual Asia-Pacific airline in December 2023.
Prior to that, PAL ranked third most punctual in September and November with 83.38 percent and 84.27 percent arrival performances respectively. It also placed fourth in October with 82.74 percent on-time flights, and seventh in August with 75.36 percent.
The top ten list for Asia Pacific in 2023 was occupied chronologically by All Nippon Airways, followed by Japan Airlines, Thai AirAsia, IndiGo, Air New Zealand, Garuda Indonesia, Singapore Airlines, PAL, Vietnam Airlines, and Cathay Pacific.
“We are grateful to all our customers and stakeholders for their support, to our employees for their teamwork and dedication, and to our government authorities whose productive collaboration and partnership helped us achieve the operational efficiencies needed to earn this ranking among the top ten,” said PAL President and COO Capt. Stanley K. Ng.
“We acknowledge that there is still room for improvement. I assure our passengers that the Philippine Airlines team will work even harder to sustain and improve our current performance,” he added.
