BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a 30-year-old drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Purok Roadside 2, Barangay Alijis here on Saturday, February 3.
The suspect yielded 95 grams of suspected shabu worth P646,000.
Police Capt. Dax Santillan, head of Police Station 6, said the operation was led by the Special Operations Unit (SOU)-Western Visayas-Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) and supported by the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU)-Western Visayas and the Integrity Monitoring Enforcement Group (IMEG)-Visayas Field Unit.
Santillan said that this was the first time that the suspect was arrested for drug pushing.
Also recovered from the suspect were the marked money and non-drug items.
Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, director of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas, said that the operation showed that lawmen are dedicated to eradicating the drug menace in the region.
