The Northern Police District (NPD) conducted a Simultaneous Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) that focused on bomb threat and emergency response on Thursday, February 29.

The exercise was led by NPD chief Brig. Gen. Rizalito Gapas. It was held at the NPD headquarters in Caloocan City in a bid to enhance the readiness and coordination of law enforcement agencies in dealing with potential threats.

Gapas underscored the significance of preparedness and collaboration among the police forces in effectively addressing security challenges.
"We do this to maintain the highest readiness of our troops to respond to such kind of emergency," he said.
"This is also to ensure that interoperability skills of responders, to include those in other government agencies, are sharpened to respond with the highest standard," Gapas added.
The SIMEX served as a platform for testing and refining emergency protocols, ensuring a prompt and coordinated response to unforeseen circumstances.

Police stations in Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela (Camanava) cities also participated in the SIMEX.
The exercise showed the determination of local law enforcement agencies to enhance their skills and capabilities, ensuring the protection of the communities they are serving.

The collaborative efforts and proactive approach demonstrated during the SIMEX underscored the commitment of the NPD to uphold peace and order in the CAMANAVA District, Gapas said.
