ILOILO CITY – Despite changes in the leadership of the Antique and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Offices, Police Regional Office-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky said there will be no other major reassignments in Western Visayas for now.

Wanky said the performances of other police chiefs in other key areas of the region will be assessed.
He presided over the turnover of command for two provincial police directors during his first week in office.
Police Col. Rainerio de Chavez replaced Police Col. Leo Pamittan as head of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO).
Police Col. Lea Peña succeeded Police Col. Rogelio Abran Jr. at the helm of Antique Police Provincial Office.
Wanky said that he was merely implementing protocol to replace police chiefs who have stayed in their posts for more than two years in the case of Abran.
The PRO-6 head reiterated the need to assess the performances of police chiefs in Aklan, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.
Wanky assured that effective officers will remain in their posts.
He said that future reassignments may even be good for other police officers as these includes training and schooling opportunities for promotion.
