Drag artist Amadeus Fernando Pagente or Pura Luka Vega was arrested again over his viral "Ama Namin" performance.
He was nabbed on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by a Quezon City court for three counts of alleged violation of Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code, which includes immoral doctrines, obscene publications and exhibitions, and indecent shows, with a recommended bail of P360,000.
The 34-year-old drag performer was arrested at 4:30 p.m. at DOH Rizal Avenue corner San Lazaro Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila, police said.
"This stemmed from a complaint filed against them by three churches affiliated with the Philippines for Jesus Movement (PJM). The recommended bail is P360,000," Rod Sing, the showrunner of the television series Drag Den Philippines, said in an X post.
Vega is currently detained at the custodial facility of MPD Sta. Cruz Police Station.
Pura Luka Vega was first arrested in October 2023 following his alleged absence in the preliminary investigations of his criminal case in a Manila court.
