Woman arrested for qualified theft, forgery in Pasay City

A cashier of a recruitment agency was arrested over the company's missing money amounting to P3.7 million in Pasay City on Feb. 28.
Col. Mario Mayames, Pasay City police chief, identified the suspect as alias Veronica,30, a cashier at a recruitment in Pasay City.
Mayames said the suspect was arrested at around 5:00 p.m. at the 2nd floor of SKK Building on Senator Gil Puyat Avenue in Pasay City.
He said the suspect was held by a security guard on complaints of a certain Ameer, director the agency and alias Haneen, the agency branch manager.
The city police said the suspect allegedly made unauthorized bank transactions by forging the signature of Ameer.
Mayames said Ameer discovered that P3.7 million money of the agency was missing.
He said the suspect is now detained at the Pasay Police custodial facility and was charged for violation of Article 169 (Forgery) and Article 310 (Qualified Theft) of the Revised Penal Code. Code.
