CAVITE – A severed head with a gunshot wound was found near a creek in Barangay Cabilang Baybay, Carmona City, Monday night, Feb. 26.
Carmona City Chief of Police Lt. Col. Jefferson Ison said the head was found by minors who went fishing at the creek.

The head was already in a state of decomposition and could possibly belong to the naked headless corpse found in Barangay Lantic on Feb. 17.
“Possible, but not yet confirmed until the results of DNA examination,” Ison told the Manila Bulletin via SMS.
“The possibility is based on the initial findings of Scene of the Crime Operatives that there are five missing cervical cords on the decapitated cadaver and there are five cervical cords connected to the found head. An entry point of unknown caliber was seen at the back side of the head and exited at the top front area.”

The severed head and the decapitated cadaver were temporarily buried at a columbarium and cemetery in Carmona.
Ison said there is a big possibility that the victim was killed and beheaded in another place and that the head and the body were dumped in secondary crime scenes to mislead the investigation.
Authorities are now looking at persons of interest.
“With the assistance of Executive Director Gilberto DC. Cruz of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission, we are sharing intelligence info and resources to solve this case and file cases against the perpetrators,” Ison said.
