The QC GAD Council event will run for six days - March 1 to 6 - at the Activity Center of Trinoma mall in Quezon City.
They will provide free consultation on gender-based violence and distribute informational flyers.
The QC GAD Council said that the event will include a photography exhibition featuring Quezon City’s Iconic Women – a showcase of framed images portraying selected QC women achievers, trendsetters, and goal-getters.
Furthermore, the event will also feature a crafts fair by small businesses.
The Kyusified Livelihood of QC-Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) will showcase their locally-made handicrafts produced by women behind bars.
The initiative is part of Mayor Joy Belmonte’s “No Women Left Behind” program under the GAD Council.
The program aims to help improve the welfare of the city's Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) in detention and life after detention which will provide them access to healthcare, education, and livelihood.
In addition, the Women’s Business Council of the Philippines will conduct a series of TED Talks on various topics that concern health, technology, investment management, and business opportunities for women.
