With the celebration of Women's Month in March, actress and host Phoebe Walker stars in her first main role in the advocacy film "Buy Bust Queen."

During the film's media conference held at the Gateway Cinema 3 in Cubao, Quezon City, Phoebe shared her thoughts on doing the role of an agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), an anti-drug law enforcement agency.

"It was an eye-opening role sa akin, especially yung training that we did under former Director General Wilkins (Villanueva). Yung mga tamang paraan para pumasok, yung mga operations ganyan, it was really eye-opening for me," Phoebe said.

She also learned that the role made her realize that there's no limit to what women can do in general. That women should not placed in the same place doing the same thing. Women can also do things outside of their comfort zone, she said.

"My mom would always, ‘Kung kaya nila, mas kaya mo. Walang magsasabi na hanggang dito ka lang. There’s hard work and there’s perseverance," she added.

In the film, Phoebe plays the role of Gianne Regalado, an undercover agent who will lead numerous operations of the PDEA.

Phoebe's character in the film defies gender norms and shows that even women can do things with perseverance and dedication in a male-dominated field.

According to Villanueva, the story of the "Buy Bust Queen" was inspired by the story of Director III Charlene Magdurulang.

From being a PDEA female agent, Charlene is now Regional Director of PDEA Region 13 CARAGA.

Phoebe expressed that portraying the role of the buy-bust queen is an honor for her.

"Buy Bust Queen'' is a real person. I had the privilege of playing a titular role. We started from training sa kampo. It’s all about perseverance and really trying your best para umangat ka kasi may mga gusto kang i-honor sa life,” Phoebe said.

The film's director JR Olinares hopes that the film will help them show the story of PDEA Agents and how women can be successful in a male-dominated job.

"This film shall break stereotypes and will flip the gender scales a bit, proving that women can join spaces previously dominated by men,” Director JR said.

Now showing in cinemas nationwide, "Buy Bust Queen" is produced by Pinoyflix, Zaldy Lumacang, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Aside from Phoebe, the film also features actors Christian Vazquez, Jeric Raval, Jeffrey Santos, Dindo Arroyo, and Ricardo Cepeda, with Ping Medina, Alex Medina, Ritz Azul, Ervic Vijandre, and Maxine Medina.
