Police said four kilos of suspected shabu were recovered from couple Peter John Cuadra, 24, and Mary Ann Miano, 19.
The suspects were cornered by the Intelligence Unit of the Bohol Police Provincial Office in Sitio Purok 7, Barangay Mansasa at past 11 p.m.
Police Lt. Col. Norman Nuez, information officer of the BPPO, said Cuadra was in charge of keeping the illegal drugs while Miano was tasked to distribute the contraband to their customers.
Nuez said Cuadra confessed that a man whom he claimed he did not know would deliver shabu to his house for delivery.
The suspects were paid P50,000 for every kilo that they dispose of, police said. The couple was paid through an e-wallet.
Nuez added that the suspects were monitored for a month before they were arrested.
“According to our intelligence team, they are known as notorious drug dealers. They were convinced to get into this activity because of the large amount of money that they can earn,” Nuez said.
The operation in Tagbilaran happened on the same day that a kilo of shabu valued at P7.1 million was seized in Panglao, Bohol, from a suspected drug pusher.
