Son stabs septuagenarian father dead during drinking spree in Ormoc City

TACLOBAN CITY - A 73-year-old farmer was stabbed dead by his oldest son in Purok Camia, Barangay Guintiguian, Ormoc City, Leyte, on Sunday night,  February 25.

The victim was identified as Vicente Ramirez Jr.

Initial investigation disclosed that Vicente and  the suspect, Junrey, 28, were having a drinking spree when an argument erupted.

Junrey got a knife and stabbed his father in the chest.

After realizing what happened,  Junrey hugged his father and stopped people from trying to help them.

Vicente was dead when first reponders arrived.
