Deputy Speaker Quezon 2nd district Rep. David "Jay-jay" Suarez insists that there is no row between the House of Representatives--where he belongs to--and the Senate.
Speaking in a press conference Monday, Feb. 26, Suarez, reckoned that the 24-member Senate simply aren't used to working with a "vocal" House.
"Hindi naman po to bangayan. Ang pinagkaiba lang po siguro, hindi po nasasanay ang Senado na mas vocal ang mga congressman ngayon," he said.
(This is not a quarrel. I think the difference is that the Senate isn't used to the vocal congressmen of today.)

"Siguro naninibago yung mga senado[r] (I think it's a new thing for senators) that we have young congressmen who are giving their opinions on national issues," noted Suarez.
"So instead of just being quiet and waiting for the Senate to act, we're actually pushing them to work faster, with haste, on legislation that is necessary for the country," added the Quezon solon, who took on a mentoring role with the so-called "Young Guns" of the House.
The past few weeks have seen a nearly continuous back-and-forth between the co-equal legislative chambers on the the topic of Charter change (Cha-cha).
