It was the second straight victory for the High Speed Hitters, who still displayed their might after a 25-22, 25-6, 25-9 demolition of the Galeries Tower Highers last Thursday, Feb. 22.

Savi Davison anchored the crew anew with 13 points, all coming from kills, as PLDT slowly destroyed the defense of the Chameleons by attacking on all angles.

Jessey De Leon also provided offensive support for the High Speed Hitters with 11 points built on nine attacks and two aces, while new recruit Majoy Baron chipped in 10 points.

PLDT coach Rald Ricafort lauded his team’s strong start, but reminded his players they still have a long way to go.

“Hanggat may nakikitang lapses, mga simple errors, tatrabahuhin pa rin namin. Pero so far, okay naman kami, given na may mga bago din,” he said.

Nxled challenged PLDT with strong starts on each set particularly in the third frame, but saw themselves losing steam in the crunch.

The Chameleons even saved two match points following back-to-back blocks for 24-22, until an attack error ended their run -- and the match.

Ivy Lacsina scored 12 points for Nxled as the rest were limited to single digits including Krich Macaslang and Kamille Cal, who had seven points each.
