The country's longest running newspaper marked its 124th year of serving the country and its people in a celebration hosted by the Manila Bulletin led by the Chairman Basilio C. Yap and President and Vice Chairman Dr. Emilio C. Yap III.

Held at the Tent City of the grand Manila Hotel, in attendance were not only leaders and personalities from local politics, business, entertainment, society and government service, but also enjoyed a global roster of guests from Greece, Egypt, Romania, Hungary, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and many others.
Ambassadors and other members of the diplomatic corps came in full force to offer a toast of salutation to the Manila Bulletin.

Manila Bulletin, which started as a business shipping newspaper in 1900 has withstood numerous and various events through many chapters of Philippine history. It has survived World War II, martial law, the world acclaimed People Power revolution and all Philippine presidents except for one. It has consistently stood as a reliable, accurate, timely and important source of news and information.
