Man hacked to death as he slept in Quezon

LOPEZ, Quezon – A man was hacked dead in Barangay Ilayang Ilog, this town, on Sunday night, February 25.

Police identified the victim as Felix Pecito.

Pecito was sleeping on a chair after a drinking spree when the suspect Manuel, 46, a farmer, also of Barangay Ilayang Ilog, arrived drunk and armed with a bolo.

Manuel suddenly slashed Pecito’s neck, killing him instantly.

The suspect was arrested by responding lawmen. Recovered from the suspect was the bolo with scabbard.

Manuel faces murder charges.
