P11-M shabu bagged in Cebu City drug sting

CEBU CITY â€” More than a kilo of suspected shabu worth close to P11 million was seized from a 58-year-old drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Calamba here on Sunday night, February 25.

The suspect Ciano Entoma Villanueva was arrested around 11 p.m. by the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7).

Seized from him was 1.6 kilos of shabu with an estimated value of P10.8 million, police said.

Police said the suspect is an ex-convict who was considered as a high-value individual.

Lawmen added that it took a month-long surveillance before Villanueva was arrested. Based on monitoring, he was selling a kilo of shabu a week before he was arrested.

The suspect received his supply of shabu through a contact incarcerated at the Cebu City Jail.
