Cordillera cops net P9.4-M shabu, marijuana

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera seized suspected shabu and marijuana worth a total of P9.4 million in anti-illegal drug operations from February 18 to 24.

Ten suspected drug pushers were arrested and seized from them were 11.04 grams of shabu with a total standard drug price of P75,075.

Eight were nabbed by the Kalinga Police Provincial Office and one each by the Baguio City Police Office and Benguet PPO.

Three suspects were high-value individuals and seven were street-level individuals.

One thousand, five-hundred sixty fully grown marijuana plants, 46,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves, and 6,000 marijuana stalks valued at P9,351,997 were discovered in Benguet and Kalinga during eradication operations.

These were burned after documentation and follow-up operations are being conducted to identify their cultivators.

Police continue to conduct barangay visitation and information operations regarding the government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.
