3 elderly sisters perish in Taytay fire

Three elderly sisters died in a fire that gutted their house in Taytay, Rizal, on Sunday evening, Feb. 25.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started at around 9:18 p.m. in Barangay Dolores, Taytay, Rizal.

Authorities said the two women had already left the house but returned to rescue their sibling with disability from the burning house.

The blaze quickly spread to two other houses.

The fire was raised to the first alarm at 9:21 p.m. and was declared under control at 9:35 p.m.

The fire was extinguished at around 9:51 p.m.

Authorities have yet to determine the estimated cost of damage to property and the cause of the blaze.
