Man arrested for stabbing another man in Port Area, Manila

A 33-year-old man who stabbed another man in Port Area, Manila was arrested by the Manila Police District (MPD) on Saturday, Feb. 24.

The arrested suspect was identified as Adrian Lopez, a resident of Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila.

Police identified the suspect's victim as Romeo Raneses, 40 to 50 years old, and has no permanent address.

According to the authorities, the crime happened at around 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23.

They said that barangay personnel discovered the lifeless body of the victim and immediately reported it to the police.

They added that the bloodied body was found on the street.

Investigation disclosed that the victim was stabbed multiple times.

Authorities immediately conducted a follow-up operation that resulted in the suspect's arrest.

They said that they are still investigating the suspect's motive, while he is detained at MPD-Homicide and will face charges of murder.
