Here's what Guanzon told De Lima on EDSA People Power anniversary

P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon gave a touching message to former senator Leila de Lima on the occasion of the EDSA People Power anniversary.

When Rowena Guanzon met Leila de Lima on Sunday, Feb. 25, tight hugs and hopefulness abound.

There are two reasons for this. First, Sunday wasn't an ordinary day, for it was the anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.

Second, this was the first EDSA celebration that former senator De Lima was able to attend in person in over six years following her incarceration.

"Malaya ka na Leila de Lima, tuloy ang laban mo para sa bansa at hustisya," P3PWD Party-list nominee Guanzon wrote in an X post to go with a snapshot of their happy meeting.

The two women-leaders met at Club Filipino.

"Buhay ang EDSA sa puso natin ! (EDSA is alive in our hearts)" declared Guanzon in a separate post.

Last November, a Muntinlupa City court granted the payment of bail to De Lima after over six years in detention at Camp Crame. She was held for drug charges during the previous Duterte administration.
