Feed mill worker killed in Batangas gun attack

LIPA CITY, Batangas – A 47-year-old feed mill worker was killed and his son was wounded in a gun attack on Saturday morning, February 24, in Purok 7, Barangay Pinagkawitan, this city.

Police identified the fatality as Roger Japlos.

Initial investigation revealed that Japlos and his son Rico were on their way to work to the feed mill on board a motorcycle when a man driving a motorcycle appeared and shot them.

The Japloses sustained bullet wounds and were taken to a hospital here where Roger was declared dead and Rico recovering.

The gunman wearing a helmet and black jacket fled towards the national highway.

Police recovered evidence from the crime scene were four fired caliber .45 cartridge cases.

Lawmen are conducting follow-up operation.
