'Eco Ikot Center Replication' project launched in Parañaque

The Eco Ikot Center Replication (EICR) project was launched in Parañaque to raise residents' awareness on proper waste identification and segregation.
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez spearheaded the launch on February 22 at the United Parañaque Subdivision (UPS) V Recreational Center in Barangay San Isidro.
Olivarez said the EICR is a project of the Communities Organized for Resource Allocation (CORSA), the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The mayor and his brother, Congressman Edwin Olivarez, and the team from the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) attended the launching of the project to show their support to the CORA, KICA, and USAID projects.
Olivarez said the city is also implementing proper waste segregation to protect the environment.
He thanked the founder and executive director of CORA, Antoinette Taus, for launching the project in the city as it will help the residents properly segregate garbage to protect the city environment.
The mayor said Taus was joined by Sara Borodin, assistant administrator of USAID, and Kim Eunsub, country director of KOICA during the launching of the project.
