Private tutor stabbed to death in Batangas

SAN JUAN, Batangas â€“ The body of a private tutor with multiple stab wounds was found in this town on Friday, February 23.

Police identified the victim as Arcel, reportedly a member of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer community.

Investigation said the victim left his house on Thursday, February 22, at 3 a.m. with a male companion.

The victim failed to return home the next day, prompting his family to seek barangay assistance.

His body was found by a passerby on the river embankment in Sitio Tipaz Sulok, Barangay Tipaz.

The victim sustained multiple stab wounds in the back.

Recovered in the area were a kitchen knife and an ice pick.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
