DepEd-ALS, CENRO plant caballero and narra trees in Malolos, Bulacan

The Tree Planting and Wellness Program of the Department of Education-Alternative Learning System (DepEd-ALS) Malolos and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) was successfully conducted in Barangay Mambog, City of Malolos, Bulacan on Friday, Feb. 23.
A total of 30 saplings consisting of 15 caballero and 15 narra trees were planted at the Malolos City Eco-Park Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in the said village.
Aside from the planting activity, a zumba session was also included in the program aimed at maintaining the body's health of each individual.
In a message delivered by Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Leilani Samson Cunanan, Career Executive Service Officer (CESO) V, expressed her gratitude to the Malolos City government for the continuing support to the program and activities of DepEd Malolos not only for education but also for the environment.
In an interview with Salvador Lozano, EPS 1-AP-ALS Malolos Focal Person, he expressed happiness in restoring the MRF and for being part of the program that patronizes an orderly environment.
Meanwhile, Amiel S. Cruz, OIC-Supervising Environment Management Specialist (EMS), said that taking care of the environment is health-related and their office continued to promote it.
“Let’s make Malolos a Green City!” said Cruz.
