'We're back!: Valenzuela police recover Facebook page after hacking

The Valenzuela City Police District (VCPS) announced on Friday, February 23 that it recovered its Facebook page after the hacking incident last Monday, February 20.

VCPS chief Col. Salvador Destura Jr., in a Facebook post, said: “Evil may have its temporary victories, but goodness has the ultimate triumph.”
“We extend our sincere and heartfelt appreciation to the people who supported us during our recovery process,” it added.
Destura also stated that theVCPS' Facebook page is now available to provide information on its program and services. It also gives the publica venue to communicate with them to ensure public safety and to maintain peace and order in the city.

Destura immediately informed the public about the hacking incident last Monday through the VCPS PIO Facebook account.
“This is to inform the public that the official Facebook page of the Valenzuela City Police Station had been hacked,”
“The administrators do not have access to the account as of the moment, we urged the public to refrain from engaging with the hacked account.” It stated.
Destura also stated in the post that announcement and updates will be temporarily posted on the Facebook page of the VAlenzuela City Police Station PIO.
